Your first visit

It is really important that we have a complete medical history before we make any decisions on your treatment. Your oral health is linked with your overall health. A staggering 90% of all health conditions will have signs that can show in the mouth! We need to know your medications (pills, injections, creams, puffers, sprays or supplements) and the dosages that you take. It is a good idea to either, download the medical history form, or if you don't have a printer, it is sometimes easiest to bring a repeat prescription form, or the packets themselves and bring your reading glasses if you wear them.

Don't worry if you hate forms, we will help out, and when you return we just get you to check nothing has changed each time.

We do a lot of listening during your first appointment.

We sometimes take a photo of your teeth to help you talk about what you need us to do. Perhaps you've never been happy with the appearance of your teeth. You might have missing teeth and want to find out what the options are. Maybe you have had a bad experience in the past and need some help to rebuild your confidence.

Next comes your examination.

We check your head, neck, jaw joints, jaw muscles, the lips and soft tissues around your mouth and your teeth. We assess your risk for decay, gum disease, wear and general oral health. Usually we will need x-rays to see under the surface and between the teeth and your bone levels, the parts that can't be seen with the naked eye.

What's next?

Once we have all of this information, with your input, we will make a treatment plan. You can then decide on a payment plan. A healthy smile needn't be out of your reach as we have lots of ways to spread the cost available including interest free finance.
